18-Year-Old London Man Charged with ‘Gay Free Zone’ Stickers

Posted on

The person that was posting anti-gay stickers around the East End of London has finally been caught and jailed.

18-year old Mohammed Hasnath, of Leamouth, has been charged under section 5 of the Public Order Act of causing harassment, alarm or distress.

Mr. Hasnath has posted bail, and is due to appear before the judges on June 1.

Hasnath’s stickers quickly rose to international visibility, with gay blogs around the world picking up the story. The stickers showed a rainbow flag with a thick red line over it, declaring a “gay free zone.” The stickers warned, “Arise and warn. Gay free zone. Verily Allah is severe in punishment.”

Residents were outraged, and began a campaign to remove the 70 reported instances of sticker hatred.

We will be following this story, as it is quite unusual and it will be interesting to see what the law does with it!

    What a douchebag!

  •  Hmm.. Don’t know what to say about this one.. Posting bail clearly shows that there has been no lesson learned here. Allah is not severe in punishment, otherwise this man would have been smite at the first instances of showing his hatred toward another human being. It works both ways!! When will people learn that unconditional love means there are no restrictions except those that we on earth place on it.
