“If You’re Not With Your Son, You’re Against Him”

Posted on

An absolutely incredible poster sums up the issues gay children face when coming out to their parents in just one sentence. Incredibly poignant and eloquent, the image reads:

“If you’re not with your son, you’re against him.

If you love your son, love him the way he is. Just listen to him, and you might get to know who he really is. The process of getting out of the closet begins at home.”

Picture perfect!

In the closet

Don’t lock your child in the closet.

  • Amen to this one!

  • Nice imagery, though I wish the copy spoke to straight men better. Guys don’t want to be told to ‘listen,’ let alone ‘help’ their children come out of the closet. Feelings and awkwardness? No thanks!

I’d change it to say, “Hey, you know he’s different; be a man and deal with it the right way. He’s there for you. Be there for him.”
