Hunky Navy SEAL in Hot Water for Appearing in Porn

A decorated Navy SEAL is under investigation for having performed in over two dozen porn films over the past seven years, with titles like “Apple Smashing Lap Dance” and “Strippers Come Home Horny from the Club,” the San Diego Union Tribune writes.

Navy Chief Special Warfare Operator Joseph John Schmidt III has spent 23 years in the military. He’s won ribbons and medals for his service. But like many people these days, he has a side hustle as well: appearing in adult films under the pseudonym Jay Voom.

Jay Voom’s work is pretty standard stuff—heterosexual, massage, oral, 69ing and the occasional threesome. In many videos, he appears with his wife, porn star Jewels Jade, a Penthouse model who frequently appears in MILF videos. Relationship goals!

The two of them have three children, according to a post on Jade’s Instagram account:

The pair weren’t exactly secretive about their work. Jade posted images of herself with her husband in a military uniform on her Instagram account.

Jade told the Tribune that Schmidt’s colleagues knew about his second job:

They knew about it at work. He got called in and they said, ‘Look, keep it on the low, don’t mention the SEAL name and blah, blah, blah.’

He was always pretty open about it with the command. I mean, honestly, all of his buddies knew about it. Everybody knew about it.

In 2013, the Tribune writes, Schmidt appeared with Jade on Dr. Susan Block TV to perform a pole dance.

A spokesman for the Navy SEALS told the Tribune, “We have initiated a formal investigation into these allegations. There are very clear regulations which govern outside employment by (Naval Special Warfare) personnel as well as prohibitions on behavior that is discrediting to the service.”

Schmidt’s investigation comes at the heels of the military “military nudes” scandal, in which some of the troops have spread around sexually explicit photos of fellow service members without their consent.
