An October survey conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and reported by gay blogs has just been released and it looks like the LGBT community still has love for the president. 64% of gays and lesbians said they approved or strongly approved of how Obama is conducting himself in office. They poll itself may be flawed as it was conducted by a Democratic research group, but the numbers are still worth cheering about.
Of course, a lot has happened since October. Many believe the president wavered in his handling of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’s repeal. Sure, we got there in the end, but the journey went over the river and through the woods while the president did little to facilitate its demise. It will be interesting to see his approval ratings for the fourth quarter of 2010 when they are published.
Do you approve of the president’s performance thus far?
