Sexiest Advertisement Ever? Vibram Five Fingers (NSFW)

id=”attachment_1241″ “Stop undressing me with your eyes.”

While flying back to Seattle from an assignment in Washington, D.C. for GayTravel.com, an ad in this month’s Men’s Health lifted my spirits caught my attention. I’ve been interested in Vibram Five Fingers for a while now. You know, the gorilla-looking shoes with the toes in them. I’ve held out on purchasing them because Kevin is relentless in his belief that only Dungeon’s & Dragons players wear them.

Well, if this ad from Vibram is any indication, he’s way off.

Do yourself a favor and head over to YouAreTheTechnology and ahem, fool around.

Enjoy!

I know two people who have them and neither of them play Dungeons and Dragons.

    …I think.

  • those are so ugly….

  • Thank you. This is an amazing ad. Really fun to fool around with, once you get the hang of it!!! Went on a hike to Shi Shi while I was there, and the young guy who was with us had the brown version of these. He really liked them, but was actually using them as a stepping stone to hiking barefoot. He actually hiked in in the shoes and out barefoot (after he knew what was under the mud). There is a ‘learning curve’ to wearing them. Your body has to learn to adapt to function the way it was designed, and it does take a while. He likes the shoes. He doesn’t play Dungeons and Dragons.

I’m with Kevin on this one. The proof is in the wearer, not the ad.

Well, Since I live in SF etc, I started to wear vibram and I like it. a lot. Especially when i am bicycling (not a proper use of it i know lol) It really goes well.

  • Hey! Dungeons & Dragons is awesome… D:

  • Wow…. that’s why everyone wears them at yoga…. oooh

  • why does everyone think that people who play dungeons & Dragons are geeks with bad fashion since? that is like saying that all gay men are limp wristed flamers and all lesbians are flannel wearing dikes. you would think that a group of people who have to fight stereotypes would not make such a gross generalized comment

Hey! Stop ranking on D&D 🙂

  • They very well may be ugly, but they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I wear them everywhere. I wore them to a gay bar once, i got some really weird reactions. One dude with a foot fetish came up to me….. ah not the place for that story, but anyway, they are awesome. Go try on a pair!

I have a Nintendo Wii, I wear them , I love them. They feel like no shoe at all. Naked Feet. Sexy Feet..If a feet can be sexy…… They are excellent conversation starters.

Anyways If you practice what you preach on hear then people needn’t make comments that are un-founded or rather based on no scientific evidence…..

Isn’t that what the whole gay marriage thing is about the lack of hard facts or scientific evidence that it will do damage…..dungeons & Dragons are geeks..Prove it ? . My point is don’t generalize dungeons & Dragon players or other Video games. Its not founded… Their is no hard study to support the claim.

LOL @ all the D&D reactionaries, and my Paladin wouldn’t be caught dead in these monstrosities!

What the Hell Does this have to do with SHOES???  The shoes are still awful, even with the beautiful naked models in them! Also, I work at a Mani/PEDI Spa, so I know that every single person has unique toes, diffrent lenth, width, some are long and fat, some are short and skinny, most are asemetrical or diffrent on each foot. SO I dont think these things would fit anybody right?? My toes on my left foot are shorter then the toes on my right foot. Plus they look like the only appropriate place to wear them would be surfing or scuba diving. Yuk, thumbs down.

I now have multiple pairs of fivefingers. They are the only shoes that I wear. Hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Just by wearing them you sell them to people. I get stopped and asked about them at least 3 or 4 times a week and have converted at least 10 people into fivefinger fans. Everyone should try them out even though they are kinda ugly. Only suggestion is to go to a store to try them on. The sizing is kinda funny and it helps to be able to try on different pairs.
